Lecture 7
The Realm of the Ice Bear

ice_bear Those of you that have visited the Arctic and have seen a Polar Bear will remember the event for the rest of your lives. Not only is this animal beautiful to see but its life history places it to be probably the most remarkable mammal on earth.

This lecture and slide presentation takes you to Svalbard and Churchill on the shores of Hudson Bay and illustrates the natural history of the Polar Bear. Other animals live in the Arctic as well as an array of wild flowers. Many of these will be shown and their life stories discussed. Look out for the Walruses!
